College Premium Package Setup
A complete guide to setting up your College Premium Package — two camera angles plus a dedicated sideline WiFi network. Plan for 30 to 40 minutes across three locations.
Phase 1 — Press box
- Place the GameStrat Router near your laptop and connect it to power. Run the black Ethernet cable from the router to the laptop. Open GameStrat on the laptop and confirm the network indicator in the top left of the app reads "Ethernet, IP Valid."
- Mount the End Zone GameStrat Bridge, aimed toward the end zone, and connect the grey cable to the End Zone Bridge port on the GameStrat Router. There will only be 2 lights on the Bridge until your end zone setup is complete. Once the end zone is setup, the Bridge will have 6 lights.
- Mount the Sideline GameStrat Bridge, aimed toward the sideline, and connect the blue cable to the Sideline Bridge port on the GameStrat Router. There will only be 2 lights on the Bridge until your sideline setup is complete. Once the end zone is setup, the Bridge will have 6 lights.
- Place the Press Box WiFi Antenna in an elevated position in the same room as the press box iPads. Connect the red cable from the antenna to the GameStrat Router. Confirm a solid blue light appears on the side on the antenna.
- In the camera settings, set the camera output to 1080p HDMI, then run the HDMI cable from the camera to the GameStrat Capture Device. Connect the Capture Device to a USB 3.0 port on the laptop. Confirm the camera feed is visible in GameStrat before heading to the end zone.
Phase 2 — End zone
- Mount the GameStrat End Zone Station in an elevated position behind the end zone with a clear view of the press box. The label reads "Face to Press Box." Connect the grey cable from the power box to the Station. Once the full connection is established, the Station should show 6 blue lights.
- Run the black Ethernet cable from the GameStrat End Zone Station to the GameStrat Streaming Device Ethernet port, then plug the device into power. A solid blue or green Ethernet icon (3 squares) on the Streaming Device indicates a network connection.
- Set the camera output to 1080p HDMI and connect it to the HDMI In port on the GameStrat Streaming Device. A solid blue HDMI feed icon (circle) on the Streaming Device indicates camera signal feed detection.
Phase 3 — Sideline
- Mount the GameStrat Sideline Station in an elevated spot on the sideline, aimed at the press box. Connect the grey cable to the Sideline Station Power Box
- Mount the GameStrat Sideline WiFi Antenna in an elevated position and aimed toward the sideline iPad area. Connect the red cable from the power box to the antenna, then run the blue cable from the antenna power box to the GameStrat Sideline Station Power Box. A solid blue light on the front of the antenna confirms it is on and connected to the GameStrat Network. Once everything is connected, verify the Sideline Bridge shows 6 lights, the Sideline Station shows 6 lights, and the Sideline WiFi Antenna shows a solid blue light.
Phase 4 — Testing
- Return to the laptop and start a live game. Confirm both the press box and end zone camera feeds are active and visible in GameStrat.
- Connect iPads by location. Press box iPads join the Press Box WiFi. Sideline iPads join the Sideline WiFi. Each iPad should show a checkmark in the top-right corner of the GameStrat app.
- Record a 10–15 second test clip from both angles, then open it on all iPads to confirm smooth playback before kickoff.
